Parking
When you get here, you’ll notice that the best parking spots aren’t reserved for the preacher and staff or even for the members, they’re for you! If, however, the spaces closest to the building are already taken, you may park anywhere you prefer. On Sunday mornings, we usually have attendants in the parking lot to point you in the right direction. For disabled parking, please drive to the smaller lot on the EAST side of the building.
What is Your Worship Like?
Our worship is a collection of contemporary worship songs that glorify God.
Communion
During every Sunday gathering, we observe a memorial of Jesus’ death and resurrection, commonly referred to as the Lord’s Supper or Communion. There will be a meditation designed to help us focus on Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross. After the meditation you may pick up a plate containing the elements for your family from several locations in the auditorium. We eat a small piece of bread that symbolizes Jesus’ body that was sacrificed on the Cross. Next, we drink a small cup of “wine” (grape juice) that symbolizes the blood of Jesus that was poured out for us.
As we take these emblems, we are reminded of God’s love for us. He sent Jesus to be sacrificed for our sins so that we can live with Him forever! We are also reminded through the Lord’s Supper that we are called to live in community to provide support and encouragement for one another. In essence, we are a family, created by the Cross of Jesus Christ and our faith in His ability to save us. You do not have to be a member of Tyro Christian Church to participate in the Lord's Supper. You are invited to join us as we eat the Bread and drink the Cup.
Children
Our Ministry team is committed to teaching God’s Word to the max! We have created a nurturing, safe, and child-friendly environment where your child will feel God’s love. Upon arrival, you will notice on your left-hand side our Building Blocks (Nursery - Kindergarten) and our Faith Factory (1st - 6th grade).
Please allow our dedicated team to assist you in our secure check-in process.
Seating
When you walk through the doors you’ll see people just like you: health professionals, students, stay-at-home moms, shift workers, engineers, and business people. You’ll see folks from all walks of life, dressed in everything from casual to business casual attire. At the entrance of our Auditorium, there will be ushers to assist in finding you a seat. However, please feel free to sit anywhere you choose because there are no reserved seats. Our sincere hope is that you will feel welcomed.
Baptism
A baptism is a joyous occasion for us at Tyro Christian Church! Baptism will be by complete immersion in water to receive the forgiveness of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer (Acts 2:38; Titus 3:3–7). After the baptism, there may be applause, words of praise, and singing. This is our spontaneous celebration of joy at the birth of a new Christian. Baptisms do not have to occur during the assembly. A person may be baptized in any body of water and at any time, day or night.
